ABOUT

Navin Dev is a UK-based film director and screenwriter whose work has been showcased and awarded at numerous international film festivals, including the BAFTA-qualifying London Short Film Festival, Sci-Fi London, Portobello Film Festival, Sacramento International Film Festival, and Fantastic Planet: Sydney International Sci-Fi & Fantasy Film Festival.
Empire magazine columnist Kim Newman described Navin's debut feature film, Red Kingdom Rising (2014), as “a nicely dense, imagistic feel and a grasp of the nightmarish… a study of a cracked psyche, using the tropes of scary children's stories.”
His second feature film, Zoo-Head, premiered at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival in 2019 and later streamed on Hulu in the US and Canada.
Navin is currently in post‑production on his third feature, Crusader, shot on 16mm in collaboration with Kodak. His additional credits include development work on the gothic horror Hardcastle, originally attached to star David Tennant (Dr Who) and the late Sir Michael Gambon (Harry Potter), and producing Roger Christian’s The Sword of Thyrus, featuring Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes).
Beyond film, Navin is a novelist, having authored the Christian fairy‑tale trilogy Prince Ara of the Sky, which reached Amazon’s Top 10 Recommended List upon release.
Navin is also active in Christian advocacy, promoting mental health awareness within local Christian communities.
